Coming from the Netherlands, to me peace is often taken for granted due to a lack of understanding of what peace actually is. The Peace Summit of Emerging Leaders is a conference that succeeds to contribute to your understanding of the concept of peace. It brings together intellectual individuals who ambition to work towards a better world, yet are unknown how to achieve what they dream of. The Peace Summit allows and supports the exploration of peace in one’s own personal and professional development..
Throughout the conference, you will be faced with disastrous stories of people who experienced what humankind has unfortunately been able to do as well as what human beings are still capable of.
Importantly, you will be equipped to grow as a peacebuilder. As a Humanitarian Affairs Peace Ambassador, you are encouraged to take action for your own communities. . A clear message to take from the Peace Summit is that a global peace dialogue goes hand in hand with local peace action. I firmly believe that the Peace Summit is a once in a lifetime opportunity to dive deep into the plurality of the concept of peace, make friendships, find the activist in you, engage in inspiring conversations and sparkle and boost your own personal and professional development. You won’t regret attending.
