The Inaugural University Scholars Leadership Symposium was attended by 317 college and university students representing 97 leading centers of higher education from around the world.
The Symposium was held in the UNESCO World Heritage City of Malacca, Malaysia from August 1st to 7th, 2010.
The Symposium was endorsed by the Prime-Minister of Malaysia, His Excellency, Dato Sri Najib Razak. The Chief Minister of the City of Malacca was the Patron of the event.
Communal life and multi-faceted exchanges with peers added an incomparable international but human dimension to the Symposium experience. The delegates resided in apartment-style accommodations at the Mahkota Hotel during their one-week stay.
"Attending the Symposium was one of the most eye-opening experiences of my life," exclaimed Struan Todd from the University of Technology Sydney.
It was an opportunity for the delegates to assess what they have accomplished to date, reflect on their future plans, and explore their own innate leadership qualities that will help them effect change in the World.
