TEACHING ENGLISH IN SCHOOLS / VILLAGE CENTRES
Inspiring Tomorrow's Leaders
In this programme, volunteers are placed in schools or Village Centres to teach classes in conversational English as well as reading and writing to the local children.
In many communities, English is becoming more and more of a required skill for job placement, educational advancement and future success. However, schools often lack the necessary funding and resources to provide adequate English instruction, while class sizes can range from 10 to 80 students.
It is our goal to ensure that these needy and underprivileged children are able to advance their practical written and verbal English language skills.
To teach English at a school, you don't need to have formal teaching qualifications. However, you will need a good command of written and spoken English, plenty of enthusiasm, and a lot of patience.
