Basic Facts
Bali was first inhabited in 2000 BC by Austronesian peoples who migrated originally from Taiwan through Maritime Southeast Asia.

Although Bali is a world-renowned tourist destination, there are still many who live below the poverty line in this little island paradise of 3.8 million people.

Application Procedure
Interested applicants are required to complete the online application and to provide a short write-up of their involvement in humanitarian work under the column Describe Yourself.

All selected participants are required to attend a compulsory one-day training course on 22 July 2012 in preparation for the humanitarian relief efforts in the various Orphanage Homes.

Closing date for application is on 31 May 2012.

Participation Fee
The cost for successful applicants is GBP350.00, which includes training in Bali, Indonesia, 6-nights accommodation beginning on 22 July 2012, daily breakfast and lunch, inland transportation, logistics, and programme costs. The participating fee does not include airfare to Bali, airport tax, and visa fee. A letter will be issued to successful applicants to support them in their applications for an entry permit into Indonesia.

All participants are expected to purchase a set of two T-shirts at GBP 20.00 per set.

Successful applicants need to subscribe to a one-year membership with Humanitarian Affairs at GBP30.00 for students and GBP70.00 for working adults. A Life-membership fee is GBP100.00 per person.

However, members of Humanitarian Affairs Chapters in various universities will be exempted from paying the subscription fees.

Membership to Humanitarian Affairs is strictly reserved for participants in the Organisation's Programme.

Funds for the Balinese Children

Successful applicants will need to contribute a minimum sum of GBP50.000 to purchase basic necessities for cooking and gifts for the children.
